10/29/2004 Daly sisters take five events to propel 'Cats to first win against Eagles DURHAM, N.H. — Senior Melissa Lague (Salem, N.H.) and freshman Brittany Daly (Brightwaters, N.Y.) both won three events to lead the University of New Hampshire women's swimming and diving team to Friday evening's 186.5-112.5 victory against Boston College in the season opener at Swasey Pool. It marked the first time since the early 1970's that UNH defeated BC, as the best previous Wildcat effort vs. the Eagles was a tie in 1997.
09/20/2004 For four years, Denise Leckenby participated in UNH women's swimming. In her time at UNH, Leckenby especially excelled in the 100 and 200 freestyle events, never losing a race in either event in her career. Twice she was named UNH Athlete of the Year. She was a four-time conference Swimmer of the Year (NAC and America East) and ECAC Swimmer of the Year. She was also Scholar-Athlete for America East in 1996 and 1998.
