DURHAM, N.H. – The men's and women's soccer programs from the University of New Hampshire have been honored as recipients of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award. UNH is just one of 193 schools to have both programs recognized.
The NSCAA Team Academic Award is earned by programs that achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or higher throughout the 2012-13 academic year. Out of over 1,600 eligible institutions, 876 teams (274 men, 602 women) hit the 3.0 GPA mark. The men's program achieved a 3.00 GPA while the women's squad notched a 3.26. For the men, it is the seventh-straight year of acknowledgement and seventh overall while for the women, it is the eighth in program history and third consecutive.
