Men's and Women's Soccer Teams earn NSCAA Team Academic Award

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire men's and women's soccer teams have earned National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award for the 2012-2013 academic year after very successful seasons on and off the field.

The UNH men's cumulative grade point average of 3.00 during 2012-13 earned them the honor for their seventh straight season. Meanwhile, New Hampshire's women's soccer squad captured their second straight NSCAA Team Academic Team award with a 3.26 grade point average.

Amongst the NSCAA's selections, 11 America East team were rewarded for registering team grade point averages of 3.0 or higher. Out of over 1,600 eligible institutions, total of 872 teams (274 men, 598 women) received the distinction.

New Hampshire took home this academic honor for both men's and women's soccer, representing one of only three America East schools to do so in both sports.
