CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Freshman goalkeeper Mimi Borkan (Medfield, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team earned her second consecutive America East Rookie of the Week accolade the conference announced Monday morning.
Borkan started the week with her first-career shutout as she made six saves at Holy Cross Wednesday, Sept. 25 in a 0-0 double overtime draw. She then blanked Binghamton University with seven saves Sunday, Sept. 29. She has a current shutout streak of 259:53. On the season, Borkan has a 1-2-2 record with two shutouts, a 0.81 goals against average and a .878 save percentage.
The Wildcats return to the pitch Thursday, Oct. 3 as they host Albany for an afternoon tilt. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
