EISA SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS PUSHED BACK TO SATURDAY/SUNDAY
Due to conditions at both the alpine and nordic venues, the 87th annual Middlebury Carnival Winter Carnival, which is also the EISA Ski Championships, has been moved to Saturday, February 27th and Sunday, February 28th. The alpine races will still be held at the Snow Bowl, while the Nordic races remain at the Rikert Ski Touring Center.

PARK CITY, Utah – Leanne Smith (Conway, N.H.), the 2006 Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) Female Rookie Skier of the Year and an All-East First Team selection as a freshman alpine skier at UNH, was named to the 2010 U.S. Olympic Alpine Ski Team on Tuesday as announced by the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA).

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – Dylan McGuffin (Concord, N.H.) won the men’s 20K freestyle race and placed third in the men’s 10K classic race to lead the UNH ski team to a third-place overall finish in the 2010 EISA season opener at the St. Lawrence Carnival, which was held Jan. 15-16.

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire ski team, on the strength of its alpine squad, has been a top-10 team in the nation in recent years, including last year’s ninth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. DURHAM, N.H. – The Eighth Annual Ski Sale at the University of New Hampshire will be held Sunday, Nov. 1 at the Field House from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The huge inventory will include new and used equipment such as skis, boards, skates and apparel.
