DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team, in conjunction with the Play for Parkinson's Lacrosse Series, will sell t-shirts at its Oct. 21 Fall Ball Day to benefit the ProjectSparks Foundation. Bryant University and Merrimack College will be at the event, which will be held at Memorial Field from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
The Play for Parkinson's Lacrosse Series was held for the first time in 2010 and continued in 2011 last weekend in Alexandria, Virginia. Dedicated to the eradication of Parkinson's disease and to the amelioration of the effects of the disease for all those directly and indirectly affected, the ProjectSparks Foundation seeks to complement the efforts of other institutions focused on this debilitating disease by finding those points of leverage where a "spark" will help ignite the solutions needed to unlock a cure.
Project Spark is proud to sponsor the Play for Parkinson's Lacrosse Series, a tournament that highlights young men and women playing what has been called "the fastest game on two feet" to help those whose very ability to move becomes compromised during this chronic, progressive disease.
Supporters of UNH women's lacrosse can help the Wildcats support this fundraising effort by purchasing a t-shirt at the Oct. 21 event at Memorial Field.
