DURHAM, N.H. -- Stephanie Keefe, a former midfielder on the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team, has been selected to play in the prestigious IWLCA Division I/II North/South Senior All-Star game, which is part of the 2000 STX Lacrosse Festival that takes place June 10 at Towson University's Minnegan Stadium. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
Keefe, a resident of Newton, Mass. and graduate Newton North High School, capped a successful Wildcat career with 37 goals and seven assists for a total of 44 points in the 2000 season. She ranked second on the team in all three of those categories and was eighth in America East in scoring (2.59 points per game). Season highlights for this co-captain included five-goal games against both Drexel and Harvard, three other five-point games and three game-winning goals.
An America East All-Conference Second Team selection this season, Keefe became the 16th UNH player to compile 100 career and she finished her career ranked 15th in career points (102) and 16th in both goals (77) and assists (25).
UNH advanced to the America East Championships for the third consecutive season and concluded the season with a 7-10 overall record that included a 3-3 ledger in the conference.
