Garland, one of three team captains, matched her career high of three points with a goal and two assists at Northeastern, then recorded two assists vs. PC for a total of five points in the two games. And she led a defensive effort that yielded just seven shots to NU and 13 to Providence. Against the Huskies, Garland set up the game's first goal and also had a goal and assist in the third period. She set up two of UNH's three power-play goals vs. PC with assists on the first and last goals of the game.
Garland enters the week ranked No. 5 in the nation in assists (0.84 apg) and No. 4 in points for defensemen at 1.00 per game. She is tied for second on the team in assists (21) and also has four goals for a total of 25 points in 25 games. Garland has recorded an assist in five of the last six games with a total of nine in that span.
In 64 career games, Garland has compiled 39 points on nine goals and 30 assists.
