ECAC Honors For Zaban, Roberts And Huggon

DURHAM, N.H.--Following the weekend sweep of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, three members of the University of New Hampshire women’s ice hockey team were named to the ECAC Honor Roll Monday.

Senior center Carisa Zaban (Glenview, Ill.) and goaltenders Alicia Roberts (North Muskegon, Mich.) and Jen Huggon (Plymouth, Mass.) received ECAC Honor Roll honors for their efforts.

On Saturday, Zaban got the Wildcats on the board 15 seconds into the game when Zaban put in a shot low stick side for a 1-0 UNH lead. Zaban added another goal in the second period for a 4-0 Wildcat advantage. On Sunday, Zaban again scored the first goal of the game and assisted on the game winner in the third period as the Wildcats handed the Bulldogs their first two losses of the season.

Huggon and Roberts split time in the cage and combined for the sweep. Roberts made 20 saves in net on Saturday and Huggon stopped 30 shots on Sunday.

The team returns to action when they travel to Princeton on Friday at 7 p.m. and Yale on Saturday at 3 p.m.
