DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire cross country program has announced the 2014 schedule for the upcoming fall season for both men's and women's cross country teams. The Wildcats kick off the season with the only home meet of the year against Providence College on Aug. 30 (women – 11 a.m., men 11:45 a.m.).
The women's cross country squad was the 2013 America East champions while the men took fourth place as the event was held on the campus of Binghamton University.
The teams travel to Orono, Maine to take part in the America East Pre Conference Meet on Sept. 6. Later in the month, September 26th, the men and women hit the road again as they travel to Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. to participate in the Boston College Invitational Coast to Coast Meet.
On Oct. 11 they have the New England Cross Country Championships held at Franklin Park. Up next, the teams will travel to New Britain, Conn. for the CCSU Mini Meet (Oct. 24).
To start the month of November, the America East Championship will be held at the University of Maine. Next is the NCAA Regional Meet held at Van Cortland Park in New York City with a start time of 1 p.m. (Nov. 14).
The two squads head back to N.Y. for the ICAAAA/ ECAC meet on Nov. 22. The following day, the teams will head to Terra Haute, Indiana to take part in the 2014 NCAA Championships.
