MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES 27TH AT PAUL SHORT RUN

LEHIGH, Pa. - Senior Josh Kearns (Ridgefield, Conn.) finished 52nd overall to lead the University of New Hampshire women's cross country team to a 27th-place finish at the 42-squad Brooks Paul Short Run at Lehigh University on Friday.

The Wildcats totaled 703 points, while Indiana University won the meet with 44 points.

Kearns finished in a time of 24 minutes, 37 seconds.

Senior Wesley Dinnan (Juneau, Alaska) finished 101st in the 386-runner field, crossing the finish line at 24:59. Graduate student Ben Jenkins (Francestown, N.H.) was 121st in a time of 25:06.

Freshman Patrick Taft (Hanson, Mass.) placed 206th, completing the course in 25:36. Sophomore Daniel Decrescenzo (New Milford, Conn.) rounded out the UNH scorers by finishing 223rd in a time of 25:43.

The Wildcats return to action Saturday, Oct. 10 at the New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston.
