BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — The University of New Hampshire men's outdoor track team once again rose to the top of the conference, placing second out of 10 teams at the America East Outdoor Track Championships held at Binghamton University this past weekend (May7-8).

STORRS, Conn. - Tristan Hall (Londonderry, N.H.) and Dave Benedetto (Alton, N.H) carried UNH on Saturday, April 30 in their meet at the University of Connecticut. Hall won the long jump event when he leaped 6.79 meters, then took second in the triple jump. Benedetto won the 400-meter hurdles in 55.13 seconds. He also had a second place finish in the 110-meter hurdle event. David Ciasulli (Hampton, N.H.) placed third in the long jump behind Hall with a leap of 6.57 meters.

WORCESTER, Mass. - Behind event wins by Tristan Hall (Londonderry, N.H.), Josh Turner (Rochester, N.H.) and Matthew Russell (Ogdensburg, N.Y.), the University of New Hampshire men's outdoor track and field team took second place out of five teams at Holy Cross on Tuesday. UNH was edged out by Rhode Island 193-161 and finished ahead of Holy Cross (115), Worcester State (59) and Quinnipiac (45).

HANOVER, N.H. - Travis Parker (Fairfax, Va.) highlighted New Hampshire's trip to the Dartmouth Invitational with two wins on April 23. Parker won the 200-meter and 400-meter events. He ran the 200 in 22.28 seconds and sprinted to victory in the 400 with a time of 48.42.

DURHAM, N.H. - Robert Edgerton (Cornish, N.H.) and Tony Truax (Dover, N.H.) won events for the University of New Hampshire men's outdoor track team in the first day of the Wildcat Invitational I. Edgerton got the victory in the 800-meter event with a time of 1:55.63. Truax won the 3000-meter steeplechase in a time of 9:18.04.

ORONO, Maine - Tristan Hall (Londonderry, N.H.) placed in five events to propel the University of New Hampshire men's outdoor track team to a 100-74 victory over Maine in the season opener on April 5.
