WESTFIELD, Mass.- The University of New Hampshire men's track and field team saw three athletes place on the final day of competition at the New England Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday afternoon at the Jerry Gravel Track and Alumni Field on the campus of Westfield State University.
Freshman Drew Piazza (Danvers, Mass.) placed seventh in the 800-meter race to start things off for UNH. Piazza earned a time of 1 minute and 51.09 seconds to earn the seventh spot.
The Wildcats also got a seventh-place performance from junior Jeremy Wildgoose (Woodstock, Conn.). Wildgoose clocked in at 9:33.74 to take seventh place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase event.
Junior John Prizzi (Wyckoff, N.J.) closed things out for UNH by taking eighth in the 1,500-meter race. The junior distance runner timed in at 3:51.57 to earn eighth in the event.
