Jumpp Shines as Men’s Track and Field Competes at Day One of New England Championships

WESTFIELD, Mass. - The University of New Hampshire men's track and field team opened competition in the New England Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday afternoon at the Jerry Gravel Track at Alumni Field on the campus of Westfield State University.

Senior George Jumpp (Manchester, N.H.) was the lone Wildcat to place on the opening day of competition. Jumpp took sixth place in the hammer throw for UNH, measuring in at 185 feet and 10 inches. With the sixth-place performance, Jumpp earned three team points for UNH.
