BOSTON - Junior Brice Paey (Milton, N.H.) and graduate student Jeff Kaste (Atkinson, N.H.) each earned All-IC4A honors as the University of New Hampshire men's indoor track & field team finished 22nd at the 52 scoring-squad IC4A Championships on March 6-7 at the Reggie Lewis Center.
The Wildcats totaled 11 points, while America East foe, the University at Albany, won the meet with 68.50 points.
Paey was third in the shot put with a throw of 57 feet, 9.50 inches, while Kaste finished 18th with a mark of 49-9.
Kaste also placed fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 61-5, while junior Paul DeTurk (Durham, N.H.) was 20th at 53-5.75.
Senior Wesley Dinnan (Juneau, Alaska) finished 12th in the 5000 meters as he crossed the finish line at 14 minutes, 31.93 seconds.
Sophomore Sean Mitchell (Shrewsbury, Mass.) placed 11th in the 500-meter preliminaries in 1:03.81. Classmate Bill Godfrey (Merrimack, N.H.) was 33rd at 1:06.38.
The distance medley team of freshmen Corey Duchemin (Manchester, N.H.) and Nick Aubut (Goffstown, N.H.), Godfrey and freshman Cory Sinotte (Hooksett, N.H.) finished 17th in the preliminaries at 10:08.23.
Grad student Matthew O'Connor (Rhinebeck, N.Y.) was 27th in the mile preliminaries in a time of 4:14.12.
The Wildcats return to action Saturday, March 27 at noon when they kick off the outdoor season at the Beckett Track & Field Complex in a dual meet with the University of Maine.
