DURHAM, N.H. – Head coach Rob Thompson of the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team is pleased to announce the addition of three student-athletes, slated to join the team for the 2013 season.

Brandon Allen comes to the University of New Hampshire after a standout career at Berkshire School in Sheffield, Mass. There, he was a four-year varsity member and a captain in his senior year. At the back position, the 2012 squad surrendered only seven goals all season. Allen was on the field for just three of them. After helping his team to a regular season record of 16-0-1, Allen backboned the squad to the school's first-ever Class A Championship title. Allen has playing experience with the Eastern N.Y. Olympic Development Program and is a captain with his club team, the New York Kosmos.
Giovani Riello arrives in Wildcat Country after spending two years at South Kent School in South Kent, Conn. While with the Cardinals, he helped the squad to a 19-0-1 record in 2011, earning the Western New England Regular Season Championship and the New England Championship title. In the same year, Riello was selected as a participant of the New England Junior All-Star Game and for the Western New England All-Star game. In his senior season, Riello helped the Cardinals get back to the New England playoffs where they were ousted in a heartbreaking double-overtime loss in the quarterfinals. He repeated as a selection to the Western New England All-Star match and earned All-State honors from the Connecticut Soccer Coaches Association.
Christopher Wingate attended Sandvika H.S. in Baerum, Norway. He played club soccer with Baerum SK (BSK) and lettered for three seasons, helping the team to the Adidas Cup Championship in 2007 and 2008 (unofficial Norwegian Championship) and Football Festival Denmark Championship in 2009. He also was a member of the 2012 runner up team in the Norwegian Futsal Championship. Wingate helped BSK finished fourth in Nike Premier Cup in 2009 . In 2010, he was voted Newcomer of the Year and was voted captain of the Junior Elite team for the 2013 season.
