Hilton Earns NSCAA Scholar All-East Region Honors

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Senior midfielder Brad Hilton (Merrimack, N.H.) of the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team was recently named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-East Region Second Team, the organization recently announced.

Brad Hilton
Hilton, who owns a 3.33 grade point average in business administration, earns NSCAA Scholar All-East Region honors for the second straight year after being named to the first team last season. He was selected to the team based on his success both in the classroom and on the playing field.

He capped off his senior campaign earning America East All-Conference Second Team honors for the third straight year after starting in all 18 games and posting career highs in points (10) and assists (6), while also netting a pair of goals. His assist total ranked first among all Wildcats and second in the league.

One of his most memorable performances of the season came when he notched a game-winning goal against Air Force (Sept. 23), lifting the Wildcats to a 1-0 victory in the first round of the Nike Fall Classic. He also had a solid outing in the season-opener when he punched in a goal to propel UNH to a 2-1 victory over Rhode Island (Aug. 26).

He was equally impressive in the classroom as he was tabbed an America East All-Academic Team member for the third straight year. Success in the classroom is nothing new for Hilton, as he was selected as a member of the America East Academic Honor Roll in 2009 and 2010. Moreover, he claimed America East Commissioner's Honor Roll status in 2008 and has been on Dean's List five times in his academic career.
