MICFLIKIER NAMED THE FROZEN FOUR SKILLS CHALLENGE TEAM
    INDIANAPOLIS– Senior forward Jacob Micflikier (Winnipeg, Manitoba) of the University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team was named one of 32 players selected to participate in the 2007 Pontiac Frozen Four Skills Challenge in St. Louis, Missouri at the Scottrade Center on Friday, April 6th.
    Micflikier ranks third on the team in scoring with 34 points (10g, 24a) and leads the Wildcats in assists. He has amassed 146 points (59g, 73a) in 148 all-time games as Hockey East’s active leading scorer and he ranks 28th on UNH’s all-time scoring list. Micflikier ranks seventh in the league in scoring and in league games his 25 points in tied for sixth among conference skaters. His 0.80 assists per game rank eighth best in the country on the Division I leaderboard.
    To be eligible, all players must have exhausted their collegiate eligibility and be nominated by their head coach. The players were selected by representatives from the American College Hockey Coaches Association, the NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Committee and the National Youth Sports Corporation.
     The competitions will include puck control relay, fastest skater, hardest shot, rapid fire shooting, accuracy shooting and penalty shot. The competition will be held in an East versus West format with each team having six male position players, six female position players, two male goaltenders and two female goaltenders.
