BANGA TO LEAVE UNH HOCKEY PROGRAM

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire athletic department and UNH men's hockey coach Dick Umile has announced that sophomore forward Travis Banga (High River, Alb.) will leave the UNH hockey program at semester's end. Banga, upon acceptance, will transfer to play for the Pilgrims of New England College under head coach Scott Borek.

Banga played in 16 games as a Wildcat recording 0-2-2 in one-and-a-half seasons at UNH. This season, Banga has seen action in three games. The last time he played was Nov. 25 vs. Denver in the Dodge Dealers of New England Conference Classic. Banga's first collegiate point came on October 28, 2000 vs. UMass-Lowell.
