HEMINGWAY NAMED HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE MONTH

DURHAM, N.H. - Junior forward Colin Hemingway (Surrey, B.C.) of the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team was named Player of the Month for February by the Hockey East Association on Thursday afternoon.

Hemingway recorded nine goals in seven games in the month of February, including his first career hat trick vs. Northeastern on Feb. 16. Hemingway currently ranks second on the 'Cats squad and fourth in the nation with 52 points. He ranks second in the nation with 28 goals and is one of four players in the country to have tallied 50 or more points.

Colin is in the midst of a five-game goal-scoring streak with eight goals during that time and he has posted a goal in 19 of UNH's 32 games this year. He has also registered 21 goals in 22 conference games, which ranks first in Hockey East play.

No. 3 UNH owns a 23-6-3 overall record and currently occupy first place in Hockey East with 33 points (15-4-3). The Wildcats return to action on Saturday, Mar. 2 vs. Boston College at the Whittemore Center. Game time is 7 p.m.
