DURHAM, N.H. – Senior Chris Pelcher (Albany, N.Y.) of the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team was named to the Collegehoopsdaily.com All-Conference Team for the month of November, it was announced Tuesday.
Pelcher averaged 13.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks over the course of six games in November. The Wildcat center recorded four double-doubles and scored 20+ points in two games during the month. This is the first monthly honor for Pelcher in his career.
The senior scored a career-high 25 points and hauled in a career-best 17 rebounds during the Wildcats' 94-70, opening night victory over Suffolk University. Pelcher followed up the performance with a 14-point, 16-rebound effort in a non-conference victory over Duquesne.
Pelcher posted two more double-doubles in losses to NJIT and Bryant. The center poured in 20 points and corralled 15 rebounds against NJIT and dropped 11 points and 13 boards against Bryant.
Pelcher shared All-Conference monthly honors with Stony Brook guard Anthony Jackson, Binghamton guard Jordan Reed, Stony Brook forward Jameel Warney, and Vermont forward Clancy Rugg. Collegehoopsdaily.com tabbed Warney Conference Player of the Month.
