BALTIMORE – University of New Hampshire redshirt freshman gymnast Kelsey Aucoin (Double Oak, Texas) has been tabbed the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Specialist of the Week. It is the fourth weekly league honor for Aucoin, who has thrice been named the EAGL Rookie of the Week (Jan. 28, Feb. 11, Feb. 18).
Aucoin notched UNH's two highest scores of the season with a 9.925 on vault and a 9.950 on beam in a home quad-meet against Penn State, George Washington and Bridgeport on March 8. Aucoin's vault mark tied the eighth-highest score in school history on that apparatus, and her beam score was the third-highest in school history. The Wildcats' 196.675 matched the second-highest score in program history, and the 49.400 on beam was the highest score ever on that event. On March 3, Aucoin tied a personal best with a 9.850 on floor exercise to tie for sixth place in a tri-meet at George Washington that also included Maryland.
For the season, Aucoin is tied for sixth in EAGL on vault (9.815 Regional Qualifying Score) and is 12th on floor exercise (9.820 RQS).
