DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire gymnastics head coach Gail Goodspeed announced Monday that high school seniors Kayla Gray (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Adrienne Hill (Midlothian, Va.) have signed national letters of intent to join the UNH gymnastics program beginning in the 2011-12 academic year.

Gray is in her fifth year as a Level 10 gymnast at Gleason's Gymnastics in New York. She has claimed state, regional and national titles, including the gold medal as the 2008 National Balance Beam champion and a silver medal in the National Beam championship at the 2010 Junior Olympics.

"Kayla is a very stylish gymnast who is one of the top beam performers in the country," Goodspeed said. "She has a great line and beautiful form in everything she does, and she has the artistry that will score well in collegiate competition. The coaching staff is excited about Kayla and think she can be an immediate impact player for the 2012 season."

Hill is a Level 10 gymnast who captured the Virginia All-Around championship in 2007 and 2009. She was a J.O. national qualifier in 2007, 2009 and 2010. She was a first-alternate to the Region 7 All-Star team in 2010 and a five-time regional qualifier (2006-10).

"Adrienne is a powerful gymnast with a number of difficult and high-flying skills," Goodspeed said. "She has the ability to perform the difficult elements necessary to catch the judges' attention. Along with the power, Adrienne brings a smile and personality that will win over our UNH fans."

"Both student-athletes have strong academic backgrounds and will quickly become part of a dynamic group of women. They are great additions to the UNH women's gymnastics family."

Fans will get their first opportunity to see the 2010-11 UNH gymnastics team at the annual 'Meet the Team' event at Lundholm Gym on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m. For information on UNH gymnastics season tickets, call (603) 862-4000 x5 or CLICK HERE.
