Football to Visit Towson (Oct. 5), Host Villanova (Oct. 19) on NBC Sports Regional Networks



RICHMOND, Va.
– The University of New Hampshire football team will play a pair games on NBC Sports Regional Networks in 2013, a road game at Towson on Oct. 5 (12 p.m.) and a home game against Villanova on Oct. 19 (12 p.m.). Monday's announcement from the CAA brings a total of three televised games to the Wildcats' schedule; UNH will also welcome James Madison to Cowell Stadium on Nov. 5 (12:30 p.m.) for a national telecast on NBC Sports Network.

New Hampshire's two games on NBC Sports Regional Networks will be simulcast digitally to out-of-market areas for free on CAA.TV.

CAA football will begin its second year of a five-year broadcast agreement with the NBC Sports Network this fall. A grand total of 18 games will be televised as part of the package.

In addition to Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia and Comcast SportsNet New England, other NBC Sports Regional Networks will televise select matchups from the package. Complete schedules will be announced at a later date.

NBC Sports Regional Networks, part of the NBC Sports Group, consist of 13 regional networks that deliver more than 2,400 live sporting events annually, along with breaking news, comprehensive analysis, digital content and original programming, to more than 50 million homes. The NBC Sports Regional Networks are: Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, Comcast SportsNet California, Comcast SportsNet Chicago, Comcast SportsNet Houston, Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, Comcast SportsNet New England, NECN, Comcast SportsNet Northwest, The Comcast Network, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, CSS and SNY.

UNH's home matchup against JMU represents the Wildcats' first appearance on NBC Sports Network, the 24/7 cable platform for NBC Sports that is available in nearly 80 million homes. NBC Sports is also live streaming NBC Sports Network's live-event coverage to digital, mobile and tablet users via its NBC Sports Live Extra platform.

UNH, the 2012 CAA football co-champion, opens the season at Central Michigan of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) on Saturday, Sept. 7. Opening kickoff at Kelly/Shorts Stadium is scheduled for 3 p.m. on ESPN3.
