Evans Named Football MVP, Has No. 52 Retired At Team Banquet
DURHAM, N.H. – UNH senior linebacker Matt Evans (Hanover, Mass.) was feted as the team MVP and had his uniform No. 52 retired as part of Sunday’s annual football team banquet at the Memorial Union Building. The event puts a bow on the 2012 season, a year in which the Wildcats posted an 8-4 record and reached the NCAA D-I Football Championship postseason for a nation-leading ninth straight season.

RICHMOND, Va. – The UNH football program placed a league-high 24 members on the 2012 CAA Academic All-Conference Team, announced Tuesday by the league. The team is comprised of starters and important reserves with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better on a 4.00 scale for their entire academic careers.

RICHMOND, Va. – UNH quarterback Sean Goldrich (West Haven, Conn.) was named the CAA Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday. Goldrich, making his collegiate debut, completed 21 of 31 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns in the No. 14/12 Wildcats’ season-opening 38-17 victory at Holy Cross on Thursday night.
