LEESBURG, Va. – The University of New Hampshire's senior defensive end Brian McNally (Cornwall, N.Y.) and the offensive line have been selected for the Beyond Sports Network football defensive player of the week and offensive line of the week, respectively, announced Wednesday.
After struggling with just one sack through the team's first four games, McNally came forth with five tackles, three solo, and a career-high 3.5 sacks in the 47-17 win over Villanova last Saturday at Cowell Stadium. The co-captain led the CAA with 13.5 sacks, a single-season school record, in 2010.
The offense put up 557 yards of offense (401 passing and 156 rushing) in the victory. The offensive line consists of left tackle Seamus O'Neill (Manchester, N.H.), left guard Chris Zarkoskie (West Caldwell, N.J.), center Mike Coccia (Bethlehem, Pa.), right guard Ricky Archer (The Plains, Va.), right tackle Mickey DiLima (Kensington, Md.) and tight end Sean Cullen (Naples, Fla.).
Beyond Sports College Network is a free website for all college students, student-athletes and college staff.
