DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire football team is ranked eighth in both of this week's major Football Championship Subdivision polls, The Sports Network/ Top 25 and the FCS Coaches Poll.

The No. 8 Wildcats (1-1) visit the Rhode Island Rams (0-2) at Meade Stadium in Kingston, R.I., this Saturday, Sept. 18, at 12 p.m. in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) conference opener for both schools.  The game will be televised on CSN-NE and carried on the Wildcat Sports Radio Network.

Villanova is the new No. 1 team in The Sports Network/ Top 25 while Appalachian State claimed the top spot in the FCS Coaches Poll.  Montana, last week's consensus No. 1 team, slipped to No. 6 in both polls.
