FOOTBALL'S NCAA DIVISION I CHAMPIONSHIP QUARTERFINAL CONTEST VS. NO. 2 VILLANOVA TO BE CARRIED LIVE ON COMCAST SPORTSNET NEW ENGLAND / RADIO CHANGES ANNOUNCED
DURHAM, N.H.-- The University of New Hampshire NCAA Division I Championship quarterfinal football game being played at No. 2 Villanova on Sat., Dec. 5, will be carried live on Comcast SportsNet New England. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
The game, which is being produced by ESPN and also carried on ESPN Game Plan and ESPN 360, will feature Bob Picozzi with the play-by-play and Jeremy Bloom handling the color analysis.
No. 10 ranked UNH is 10-2 entering the contest and is making its sixth straight appearance in the NCAA Division I Championships, while Villanova is 11-1 and is the second seed in the playoffs. UNH has advanced to the quarterfinals in five of the last six seasons.
Villanova (11-1 overall) and
UNH met on Oct. 10th of this season and New Hampshire handed
Villanova their only loss (28-24).
In addition, the Wildcat Sports Network announced that the women's
hockey game against Providence will now be available on the
internet online (1:55 p.m. broadcast time). The football game will
air live on the Wildcat Sports Network with the pregame show
starting at 3 p.m. The game can also be heard online at
