FOOTBALL KICKS OFF PRESEASON WITH ANNUAL MEDIA DAY
DURHAM, N.H.— The University of New Hampshire football team held its annual media day on Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Bremner Field.

It was a chance for the media to interview coaches and players about the upcoming 2007 season and as always the day presented many picture opportunities, such as the entire squad together in the football stadium and the New Hampshire natives together in a group shot.

The team held its first practice on Monday, Aug. 13, and will continue its preseason schedule of one-a-days and two-a-days until the team plays its annual Blue/White scrimmage on Thursday, Aug. 30 at Cowell Stadium. Game time is set for 1:30 p.m.

It is an exciting time for the Wildcats, who are coming off of their third consecutive appearance in the NCAA quarterfinals and the squad, which was picked second in the CAA in the North Division, will be hoping for another shot at the NCAA championship. The Wildcats have been picked anywhere from third to seventh in the numerous major national polls that have been released over the summer.

The 2007 campaign begins Sept. 8 when the Wildcats travel to play at James Madison University. The home opener will take place Sept. 22 when UNH takes on cross-state rival Dartmouth College in the annual Granite Bowl matchup. Game time is 12 p.m. and the contest can be seen live on WMUR-TV Channel 9.

Tickets for all UNH home games can be purchased online at www.unhwildcats.com.
