UNH FOOTBALL RANKED 12TH IN THE SPORTS NETWORK I-AA POLL

PHILADELPHIA-- The University of New Hampshire football team moved up two spots to 12th this week in the Sports Network I-AA National Football Poll. The Wildcats improved on the heels of its decisive 45-24 victory in the battle for the Granite Bowl at Dartmouth on Sept. 25.

The Atlantic 10 football conference is well represented in the poll with seven teams ranked among the top 25.

The Wildcats (3-1 overall, 0-1 Atlantic 10) will have another opportunity to improve their standing in the poll when they take on No. 10 ranked Villanova, an Atlantic 10 rival that is also sporting an impressive 3-1 overall mark and 0-1 record in the conference. The other Wildcats are coming off a 16-13 win a Penn.

The Villanova game is set for Saturday, Oct. 2, at Villanova Stadium. Game time is 6 p.m. and the contest, which is the Atlantic 10 Television Game Of The Week, will be shown live on CN8.
