Gabrielle Huebner graduated from Ellsworth High School in 2010 (Ellsworth, Maine), later to join the Wildcats in 2011. She was on the varsity cheerleading team for Ellsworth all four years of high school, earning a varsity letter her freshman year. Her team competed in the Maine State Regional and State Competition all four years. Huebner led her team as captain during her senior year, placing second in the Maine State Regional Competition and State Runner-up in the Maine State Competition. In that same year, her team went on to the New England Competition and placed fourth in their division, a first in the history of the Ellsworth cheerleading program.
Huebner is the daughter of Harald and Janet Huebner, and has one brother Robert and sister-in-law Emma, both currently attending the University of Maine. Huebner graduated from Ellsworth High School in the top 10% of her class and received high honors all four years. Huebner was the Vice President to her senior class, secretary of the National Honor’s Society, a member of Student Council, a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, and a prom committee member. Along with cheerleading, she played varsity soccer all four years of high school and also played with the Black Bear United Club U18 team. She received an honorary mention for Maine All-State Soccer her junior year. She was captain of her team during her senior year and was also placed on the Maine All-State First Team. Also in her senior year, Huebner was named the Ellsworth High School Student-Athlete of the year and received the YMCA Teddy Saunders student-athlete award. Huebner volunteered as a tutor, at local YMCA events, and at her school’s annual blood drive.
