UNH Receives Fields of Excellence Award

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire has received the 2010 Pioneer Athletics Field of Excellence Award in recognition for its outstanding care of Cowell Stadium, the home of UNH football, Pioneer Athletics announced recently.   

Lance Tibbetts, Athletic Fields Manager, and Ronald Lavoie, Supervisor of Athletic Facilities at UNH were presented with the Field of Excellence Award for their teamwork and commitment to the upkeep of the playing field.

The Field of Excellence Award honors high quality athletic fields from across the country and recognizes the dedication of the field crews for producing exceptional work throughout the year. The Fields of Excellence award program was established in 1998 and has honored hundreds of fields since its creation.  

In all, 76 fields were chosen out of hundreds of submissions for a continued commitment to excellence. Each recipient was awarded a certificate of recognition and a Field of Excellence banner.
