DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women’s soccer team has announced that it will hold its second annual UNH Women’s Soccer Golf Scramble at Pembroke (Mass.) Country Club on Aug. 7 at 1:30 p.m. The proceeds will benefit the women’s soccer program through the UNH Wildcat Soccer Friends.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.— The University of New Hampshire athletic department had 82 student athletes named to the America East Conference’s Academic Honor Roll last week.Students had to earn grade point averages of 3.0 or higher to receive this recognition. Of those student-athletes, 274 earned Commissioner’s Honor Roll status for completing the fall semester with grade point averages of 3.5 or higher. UNH was tied for second in the conference for number of athletes receiving recognition. The Wildcats were ranked fifth in percentage of student-athletes honored.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America recently announced that seniors Sara Hourihan (Lynnfield, Mass.) and Caitlin Whelan (Weymouth, Mass.), of the University New Hampshire women’s soccer team, were named 2008 NSCAA/adidas Women’s Collegiate Scholar All-East Region Honorable Mentions.
