DURHAM, N.H.--The University of New Hampshire gymnastics program has spaces available in their summer Day Camp which will be held June 29-July 2. Go to www.unhwildcats.com to signup and download the required forms. Or campers may register on site, June 29th at 8:30 a.m., outside the gymnastics gym located on the South side of the bottom floor of the UNH Field House. Classes run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The cost is $150 for ½ day (mornings only, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.) or $300 for a full day.

DURHAM, N.H. — The University of New Hampshire gymnastics program will host an instructional girls’ gymnastics camp this summer. Sign up today for the Day Camp that will be held June 29-July 2. Both morning and full-day sessions are available.
Campers will participate in structured classes including vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise, tumble track, conditioning and dance. Classes will be rotated each day so all campers will have equal opportunities at each event. Wildcat athletes and coaches will provide instruction for both beginner and advanced gymnasts.

DURHAM,N.H.- The University of New Hampshire women’s gymnastics team held its annual team awards banquet Saturday, May 2 at the Squamscott Room in Holloway Commons. A total of fourteen gymnasts were honored, including four who received individual awards. Senior captain Justine Turner (Salem, N.H.) received the most hardware, as she was named Most Inspirational and MVP. The Most Inspirational is given to a gymnast who does the most on-and-off the mats, while the MVP is given to the most valuable gymnast. Turner finished her Wildcat career with career highs of 9.9 on vault, 9.75 on bars, 9.825 on beam, 9.875 floor and a 38.925 on all-around. She was named to the All-EAGL Tournament team in 2008 and to the EAGL All-League squad the past two years.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.—Carrie Doyle was named the women’s gymnastics NCAA Northeast Regional Administrator of the Year as voted upon by the head coaches.
Doyle, who serves as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance/Senior Woman Administrator at UNH, was nominated by 30th-year head coach Gail Goodspeed in recognition of Doyle’s continued support for women’s gymnastics.
“Carrie Doyle can look at any situation and give positive suggestions to enhance the student-athlete's experience.” She supports our program goals of helping each student-athlete achieve her full potential, both in the classroom and in the gym,” said Goodspeed. “I also have an appreciation for her communication abilities. Her support has been key to the success of our gymnastics program.”

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- The University of New Hampshire women’s gymnastics team wrapped up its 2009 season with a fifth place finish at the NCAA Northeast Regionals held at the University of Alabama.
Alabama took first place in the meet with an impressive high score of 197.0. Placing second was the University of Oklahoma with a team mark of 196.6. Both schools will move on to compete at the NCAA finals on April 16 at the University of Nebraska.
Rounding out the field, the University of Missouri was third (196.0), followed by Central Michigan (194.950), UNH (193.650) and Maryland (192.725).

DURHAM, N.H.--The University of New Hampshire women’s gymnastics team learned today that it will be competing in this year’s NCAA Northeast Regional Championships, which are being held at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Sat., April 4. at 6 p.m.
The No. 35-ranked Wildcats will be going up against some of the top gymnastics teams in the nation, starting with No. 3 Alabama, No. 9 Oklahoma, No. 15 Missouri, No. 32 Central Michigan and No. 35 Maryland to round out the six-team Northeast Regional field. The Wildcats and Terrapins are tied at 35 in the national rankings.

FULL MEET RESULTS
RALEIGH, N.C.— The University of New Hampshire women’s gymnastics team placed fifth out of eight teams competing at this year's East Atlantic Gymnastics League Championships held at Reynolds Coliseum on the campus of North Carolina State University Saturday evening.
UNH recorded a solid team score of 194.650. The overall winner of the meet was the host school North Carolina State with a team total of 195.7, followed in second place by West Virginia (195.5), North Carolina (194.825), Pittsburgh in fourth place (194.675), Maryland (194.525), George Washington (193.050) and Rutgers (189.125).

DURHAM, N.H.-- The University of New Hampshire women’s gymnastics team is headed to North Carolina State on Sat., March 21, to take part in the East Atlantic Gymnastic League Championships. The action is set to begin at 3 p.m. Other teams in the conference in addition to UNH, include West Virginia, North Carolina State, North Carolina, Maryland, Pittsburgh, George Washington and Rutgers. The Wildcats are looking to improve on last year’s third-place finish at EAGLs and also need to post a team score in the high 195’s or higher in order to make it to the NCAA Regionals this season. The team is presently ranked 37th in the nation and needs to make the top 36 teams to be selected for NCAA Regionals. The NCAA field of teams will be announced on Mon., March 23.

DURHAM, N.H.—The University of New Hampshire women’s gymnastics team had 14 student-athletes named to the EAGL All-Academic team on Tuesday in recognition of their outstanding work in the classroom.
A total of 97 student-athletes from the eight East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) schools have been named to the squad. The Wildcats were tied for second in league with 14 members.
