May 10: UNH achieves highest-ever ranking in the NACDA
Directors' Cup standings at No. 55 (370 Div. I programs).
May 11: Maureen Magarity becomes the sixth head coach in
the 35-year history of the UNH women's basketball program.
May 12: Five UNH teams -- men's soccer, men's outdoor
track & field, gymnastics, women's indoor track & field and
women's outdoor track & field -- were honored with NCAA Public
Recognition Award for outstanding academics.
May 13: Jackie MacMullan ('82) is named a recipient of the
Basketball Hall of Fame's Curt Gowdy Media Award. She is the first
woman to receive the honor in its 21-year existence.

MEN'S OUTDOOR
TRACK & FIELD
• UNH finished in 26th
place (55 teams) at the IC4A Championships that were held May 14-16
at Princeton University.
• Brice
Paey (Milton, N.H.) recorded a second-place finish in the
shot put with a throw of 17.69 meters.
• Matt
O'Connor (Rhinebeck, N.Y.) was the sixth-fastest runner in
the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 8 minutes, 56.42
seconds.
• Jeff
Kaste (Atkinson, N.H.) took seventh place in the hammer
throw with a toss of 58.94m. Paul DeTurk (Durham,
N.H.) was 12th with a mark of 56.83m.
• Michael
Simon (Durham, Conn.) finished ninth in the javelin with a
mark of 63.05m. UNH also took 13th and 14th place in the event with
Chris Morgan (Goffstown, N.H.) at 61.14 and
Frank Radlof (Milford, N.H.) at 53.29m.
WOMEN'S OUTDOOR
TRACK & FIELD
• UNH placed 21st (51
teams) at the ECAC Championships that were held May 14-16 at
Princeton University.
• Rita
Ciambra (Hanover, N.H.) surpassed last week's America East
record performance of 4.01 meters to capture first place in the
pole vault by clearing a height of 4.05m.
• Ashlee
Lathrop (Sherburne, N.Y.) placed fifth in the hammer throw
with a toss of 56.05m.
• Camille
Quarles (Derry, N.H.) produced a top-10 finish in the
triple jump with a leap of 12.02 m. That mark earned 10th
place.
• Elizabeth
Campbell (Colonia, N.J.) recorded the 10th-fastest time in
the 10,000m race by crossing the finish line in 36 minutes, 59.51
seconds.
• Kaitlyn
Dugan (Hatfield, Pa.) finished 10th in the heptathlon with
a total of 4,393 points.
