Nicole Richard was promoted to the role of associate athletic director for marketing & revenue generation in August 2014. She develops and implements a marketing strategy that encompasses the entire athletic department by outlining department marketing goals and strategies including timelines, the utilization of resources, market segments, fan events, customer satisfaction, themes, fan engagement ideas, new facilities and opportunities. She manages the department’s fan database to effectively communicate to fans, alumni and community, and she integrates ticket operations with all marketing strategies and assists in the oversight of the sales and marketing teams. Further, she establishes and maintains relationships with departments on campus and in the community to promote strategic partnerships that will assist in gathering support for the athletic department and maximize the athletics brand. She works closely, and in conjunction with, athletic communications, athletics development and Wildcat Sports Properties to collaborate on ideas and to maintain consistency with departmental communications, utilization of resources and messaging to fans.
Richard, who graduated from UNH in 2000 with a bachelor of science degree in Economics and a minor in Political Science, began her career in ticketing at the University in 2004 when she was hired by Global Spectrum as the box office manager of the Whittemore Center Arena. The native of New Milford, N.J., was hired by the UNH athletic department in June 2007 and was promoted to assistant athletic director for ticketing in July 2011. There, she has overseen all aspects of ticket operations for the athletic department, developed and executed season ticket and individual game marketing plans and pricing strategies to increase ticket sales and attendance.
Additionally, Richard handled ticket operations at the Whittemore Center for various events booked by UNH Campus Recreation and the Student Committee on Popular Entertainment (SCOPE). She has served as the liaison for ticketing between UNH and the Verizon Wireless Arena for all regular-season hockey games taking place in Manchester and for the NCAA Men’s Hockey Regional in 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013. Richard also coordinated ticket sales for the Colonial Clash football games at Gillette Stadium in 2010 and 2011, and the Frozen Fenway hockey games in 2009 and 2012.
Previously, Richard worked at Hesser College in Manchester, N.H., as an admissions representative (2001-03) and assistant director of admissions (2004). She earned induction into the President’s Club in 2001, 2002 and 2003 for most enrollments. Richard started her professional career as an account executive for Foster’s Daily Democrat in Dover, N.H.
Nicole currently resides in Dover, NH with her husband and daughter.
